Green Grants-breath for tourist units

Total public expenditure is 30 million. Euro and any undertaking wishing to receive a grant must submit an investment plan with a minimum budget of € 15,000 and maximum 400,000 euro.

The amount of public funding is set at 40% of the total budget, and especially for projects submitted by firms operating in small islands with a population of under 3,100 residents, the subsidy amounts to 45%.

The "Green Tourism" is an initiative of the Culture and Tourism Ministry under the Operational Programme "Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship".

It is open to primary and non-primary hotel accommodations operating legally with specific signal of operation to the Greek territory regardless of category.

Namely:

• Hotels classic.
• Hotels and apartments.
• Hotels mixed type (classic and apartments).
• Hotels and other tourist facilities operating in traditional or listed buildings.
• Enterprises rented rooms, rental apartments and a hybrid rooms and furnished apartments for rent.
• Furnished apartments.
• Tourist villas.
• Organized tourist camps (campsites).
